Luke Ross

As my degree studying a Bachelor of Communications and Media (Journalism) came to a close, I spent three weeks working at WIN News Canberra through the Peter Leonard Scholarship.

I worked on stories ranging from the pothole plague in Canberra to reporting live at a building collapse.

In my first internship through the University of Canberra, I was lucky enough to work with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation as a Media Intern.

My role ranged from shooting content across the camps of the 2021 project year, editing together promotional content and interview subjects throughout the year.

My first venture into the media world. My current role in the agency includes the management of social media accounts, writing content, organising posts in the social media schedule and working with stakeholders.

I have recently taken on leadership opportunities in the form of managing an intern from the University of Canberra.
